From events administrator to operations manager, Meet Sophie
Joining Versatile was a fortunate turn for me. After leaving my previous role, I was eager to move into the events industry and came across the Events Administrator position. It was an exciting chance to bring my experience into a new field, and I felt confident in my ability to adapt.
Over the years, I’ve watched Versatile grow and evolve, and I’ve always felt welcomed into a friendly, supportive environment. From the start, my colleagues made settling in easy, and it was refreshing to join a team that values respect and care – a contrast to the high-pressure environments I’d experienced before.
The complexity of logistics was daunting at first, but with time, I gained confidence in handling challenges that once seemed overwhelming. Versatile’s investment in my professional development over the past six years has been invaluable. I’ve expanded my knowledge in logistics, health & safety, people development, and even earned my Class 2 HGV licence – something few Operations Managers can say.
I’ve also learned how vital attention to detail and clear communication are for smooth operations and client satisfaction. I’m proud to be fully aligned with Versatile’s vision, knowing I can continue to grow and contribute as the company evolves in an ever-changing market.
The opportunities I’ve received here have exceeded my expectations, both in career progression and the breadth of skills I’ve developed. Every role I’ve taken on has made me feel valued, appreciated, and recognised. My development has been a natural extension of Versatile’s vision, and I look forward to continuing this journey with the company.
